Hi!

Hello! I'm YueN. (just in case my estranged blog forgot me)

I'm currently just into my 5th week of holiday =) exams went surprisingly well (distiction - yay me!)and tomorrow, i'm going to begin my 1st day of the dissection programme thing. Basically, a bunch of students volunteer to dissect cadavers so that the other students can poke at 'em and study 'em. And according to the SMS, we're supposed to bring:

1. labcoat
2. mental prepareness
3. refreshed knowledge of the lower limb
4. punctuality

Well, that's what it said. In fact, it actually said "refresh lower limb". and my good fren tot it meant that we should have relaxed legs cos we'll prob have to stand quite a bit. (going to tease her about it tmr...mercilessly)

Two weeks ago, i went to vietnam. Ho Chi Minh (aka Saigon-which sounds very cool, HCMC, Motorcycle City-8 millions motorbike in the streets!! or was it 4 million? a LOT la basically) it's really a great place to visit. Especially the Cu Chi tunnels. U know, those dug up by the Viet Cong and are really really complex. and scary. The landscape there is really different from Msia's too. Check it out... so dense

And we ate some "pho" (please pronounce as 'p-her', or something like that) Which is a nice noodly local dish. We ate at the Pho2000 which boasts a pic of Clinton when he was president eating there...
Then we saw the Notre Dame church...

... the central post office ...

and walked the streets of Saigon =)

The Cu Chi tunnel is a pretty interesting and amazing place. Here you can:

1. Pop out of the ground

2. Check out scary booby traps (all of em involve some spikes, either metal or bamboo) and let ur imagination run away with you

3. Fire your 1st few shots from an AK47 (btw, i missed the 'tiger' i wanted to hit =( aim lowerrrr ppl)

4. Run around underground ala mole-style (it's actually REALLY narrow, the tourist ones have been widened to allow passage of.. tourists, i could run around quite comfortably in those)

So the tunnels are the MUST see.

Vung Tau is more of a holiday beach resort area. THe view is spectacular, esp from the top of the Jesus statue hill (i don't know what it's called) Here you can see:

1. Tien Hou Gong temple of the five races, the Whale Temple (that's exactly what they called it in the itenerary) and it's true!!

2. Buddha statues (looks like a pretty new place)

3. Statue of Jesus Christ (no offence but it looks kinda extra-terrestial, i think it's the circular stuff at the top) very majestic as u can see
Shopping is pretty fun there too... i bought some handbags, a pair of wooden slippers (they're actually quite comfy) and some tops.

Speaking of tops, i got a top which says "MICKEY MOURE" as a brand. And i think i should proudly wear it out someday. (we now sing the mickey mouse song as M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-R-E)

OOhh, btw, i started the basic level Sign Language course at the YMCA =) It's really fun. Tell more in next post.

Time to sleep... must bring punctuality tmr.

(you should've seen this sky... )

Settled!

Going caving this Sunday in Gua Tempurung...

=)

yay!

Wanna come? it's 22 bucks, last i checked, and all we need to bring is a torch light. (among other things of cos)

Paintball was lotsa fun. I'd post up some pics IF those camera wielding ppl would be so kind as to give them to me... =(

Turn out was not bad, there were 13 ppl altogether and i wanted to dumb wai shin (who was late by 40 minutes!!!) in the middle of the battle field so that the teams can be evened out. But alas...it did not happen.

Highlights of that day was : Injuries like Daniel's bloody-ish bruise on his arm, Simon's hit in the neck, the apparent assault of Brian's butt, and generally bruises everywhere.

I got off scot-free tho =)

Another highlight was that the RTM2 ppl were there doing some show on paintball and the hostess joined two of our games.

Daniel was hilarious, he got interviewed (pity i didn't really hear what he said) and so was Garry and myself (ugh, so embarassing)

Anyway, must catch the screening which is uh...somewhere in september...then you can watch us play...wahaha ~_~

Addicted...

to planning...for activities.

Yesterday, i met up with Jasmin and got all hyped up for a 2 day trip to genting. Which, btw, is going to happen and anyone who's free can join us.

<---supposed to be genting. couldn't google out a better pic lah.

This afternoon, wrapped up some paintball session plans with many calls to the place. Yay! hope it turns out lah...

Just an hour ago, was pretty close to planning a trip to Langkawi. But alas, due to er...something which made me lazy...it was scratched.

And now... this time i'm quite serious, planning to go to Gua Tempurung for the grand tour there. Anyone interested is welcome and ppl who know how to drive to ipoh are MORE than welcome... =P yeah, seriously must go there this hol...

Last time i went there, the tour was too tame. So this time must go all out wan! Come on, look at the pic, i know you wanna...

I love

holidays... Today, did nothing but eat and sleep =)

Last Friday, I went to Sunway Lagoon with two friends from uni and i've come to the realisation that i'm not as young as i thought myself to be... just 4 measly hours of themepark and i was already quite tired.

Can't even play the whole day anymore...

Anyway, finally sat on that tomahawk ride which i have evaded for the many times i've been to SL. It's kinda scary cos that shoulder bar thingamajig is kinda loose. Whereas the ship one, the darned thing was so tight and it was pressing directly on the chest, i think some fat cells were burst. =(

ANyway, is there anyone out there who'd like to pay a lot of money to get bruises? (yah, this needs rephrasing) I'm planning to go paintballing this holiday and after some calculations, if we have 10 ppl, and if everyone gets 200 shots, we each have to fork out RM47 bucks (weekdays) and RM55 (weekends). Oh wait, that's without the overall body padding thingy. More info here.

haha...do you see something missing? like for instance, a head?

call in the liberation army

cos we're finally free of UPM for the next 5 weeks. it's a precious 5 weeks you know...

Wahahaha... i won't have to look at this place for a good while.

I hope la... omg!!!... i dun want to go back for any viva or anything!! (yuen, don't panic...)

and thanks to everyone who entertained my last dumb emo post and left me much appreciated words of encouragement. Thank you, i needed it... =)

This year, i've been a highly emo-ed person. It's only been 5 months and i think i've cried as many times as i did in the past many years... I cry when i'm stressed, i cry when i read dumb stories, i cry when i watch sad stuff on tv, even when watching happy stuff on tv!! hell, it's like my lastest hobby. (no, it's not fun at all)

I'm going to blame it entirely on the unstable hormones. U know? i mean, i've just turned 21, therefore, the hormones have to turn 21 too.

Brain chemicals.

I'm such a shirker.

And i'm sorry to those who have been victimized.
