Harry Potter

I would consider myself to be a harry potter fan. well, i've seen the movies, read the books enough times to be able to recite sum bits of dialogue. and i actually really like the books (the movies remain much to be desired) So overall...its great...but there's one thing about it that i don't like. That's Harry Potter himself.
The reason being...First, you undrstand that the HPseries are entirely based on fiction and fantasy. You know, magic and all that jazz. So the whole thing's unreal...totally a work of creativity...and that's what's so great about it...its popular b'cos ppl like to believe that the'res sumthing else other than the mundane going on in ths world, its like a subterfuge from reality. N i'd like to associate fantasy with perfection.
So here comes Harry...i don't like him cos he's the irony of the story. He's our hero in a fantasy world of make believe. But sumhow, the author subjects him to trivial human behavior and emotions. I mean that he can be really immature at times. He tend to sulk unecessarily here n there...and there was sum other stuff he did which had too much to do with normal daily reality. So i'm the type of person who appreciates sumthing that's purely fantasy..and that includes a near perfect hero. I think Ron weasley seems a much nicer guy, and hermione, despite being snobbish is much more pleasant. Therefore i believe that there are inconsistancies in the character of Harry Potter. Sumtimes he's so noble then there're times when he's snobbish..and so on ...
Anyway, its not good to talk behind someones back (fictional or no) =)
