Cushing's at Tesco's
And for that, i was pretty excited. Imagine a lamb.
I banged on the piano yesterday. It was fun. Nearly forgot what it was like playing the piano. Though it was more of a memory exercise (i play from memory, can't read notes for nuts) revising all my usual boring ol songs. Will play the guitar soon i hope.
Been looping Jason Mraz's latest album over and over again. Just love love love his style of music. I don't get what he's saying though. Doesn't make much sense to me but love it anyway. i mean, what the hell does this mean? :
"So i guess what i'm a-saying is there aint' no better reason, to rid urself of vanity and just go with the season , it's what we aim to do... our name is our virtue..." (ahem, relation of last line?)
and this is from one of his most understandable songs "i'm yours".
sometimes, i want to be a doctor so much i can taste it (it tastes a little like cookies n cream ice-cream). Sometimes, i wonder if it's worth all the trouble when i can jolly well do something else likeee...say engineering? (my 2nd career choice heh). and sometimes, i just don't think i'm cut out for this, able to be a good doctor that is. This is when i try to convince myself that good doctors are made and not born (well, i hope so anyway). I need to pray.
I'm going to try to improve my memory. I'm bad with names, bad with faces, bad with remembering incidents, bad with remembering anything long term. All the memory geniuses say they relate stuff to other visual stuff (or sumthing). I think it takes quite a while to do that no? but i shall try.
So the 1st thing i'm going to attempt is this:
Dan (who is my cousin's husband, my poor victim) has fever and muscular ridigity after GA (see him ridigiting around?) and he's a fat guy and "truly lean". haha... so from this, i remember that malignant hyperthermia is treated with Dantrolene.
~_~
i'm so bad at this la.

You can see that the elevator in Parkson, 1U, is quietly spreading a message from our government and PM. Who would've tot it...
Went to watch the Golden Compass today... TOo short la the movie, and the ending is too speedy. In fact, it was so speedy that, Garry and i missed the ending going to the toilet. RIDdiculousssss!
/cry
How could we have missed the ending??!?!?!?!
it was a so-so movie to watch la... but i enjoyed it anyway.
Ending...

And then rite, we went to join this queue in front of the Big Apple (i think la) doughnut shop. I like that white one with brown lines (got peanut butter wan) mmmMMmm... that white one in the upperleft corner is also good, if you like vanilla (like me)

The other day, i went to google for a cute animal picture. and i got this... someone photoshopped up a kibby. Supposedly a cross between a kitten and a bunny... haha quite cute hor. then dunno who told me it looked like a hamster.

haha oops, side way pic. TJL in action, man!!! and that's Cat, whom TJL's life depends on.

Oops again.

Moo...

Happy Deepavali!!
It's the Festival of Lights ppl, so feel...light hearted. Even if you've got a ton of things to think about =P Btw, i really like those coloured rice art thing they make on the floor... does anyone know what it's actually called?

See that picture up there? I have no idea why they decided to put a dustbin in the middle of nowhere, seemingly to honour the flags that nobody does...
Speaking of my uni, there was this guy who participated in the student elections whose name is Thin Fatt Shen.
Nah, i'm not commenting on this... i wish he was in my class tho... imagine the oppurtunities *dazed*
Anyway, lately, we've been having lots and lots of practical sessions in the ADH (anatomical disection hall) which is actually equated to "compulsory social time" or "scheduled chit-chat session" simply cos the sessions are 3 hours long and by half time, we're all bored of staring and poking at cadavers... (how callous of us)

See how bored we are? (btw, i always felt that pic up there is hilarious)
Because i know that you've been wondering what a sectioned skull/brain looks like, below is a nice pic of exactly that... ur welcome
And this is what brains look like in cut-up pieces... FYI, that is called a "brain knife". Specially used for sectioning brains... hmmmmm... (calvin, you didn't hear that from me)
And here is me, "YT HION" (pronounced yit-hion, according so some ppl), under attack by extremely treacherous and crawly skeleton-of-upper-limbs.

Yes ppl, you can start worrying about the future of the practice of medicine...

Hi!
It is deemed lame and pointless. (Big Leg et al.,Brian's Brain, Last edition, 2007)
Anyway, since i've already started, i mite as well mention that :
1. Medic Nite's over and it was okay. I've decided that MNs are a total waste of money and effort. Pointless stuff.
2. I'm bloated. Just went for a steamboat =).. I love steamboats.
3. I've been on a spending spree these two weeks. Jeans, tops, bag, famous amos. (I love the cookies there la *hint*)
4. I been one sleepy creature lately. "I nap...anytime, anywhere" (my motto for now)
I can now (if desperate enuff) fall asleep in class while crunching on a sweet.
5. I've still got two false lashes on my left eye. They refuse to fall off! Had some lash extensions done about 1 and half months ago... cool u know. Next, i think i'll have them permed. and if i have any left when i'm done, i'll stick to mascara.
6. steamyx is really slow. (betcha already know that one)
7. I sing for the rain.
8. I've no assessments for the next 4 weeks of my life (OMG!!!!) but after that, they're going to hit us with two per week back to back. (OMG!!!!!!)
9. In UPM, there're more girls than guys. means rite, girls are smarter. wahahaha.
10. I'm lame and pointless.
To prove it, here's an assignment:
If you like me, comment and say "pink".
If you hate me, comment and say "brown"
If you're indifferent, comment and say "pinkish brown"
If i like you, add the word "heart"
If i hate you, add the word "poo"
If i'm indifferent to you, add the word "hearty poo"or other way.
If you don't know anything, say "i don't know anything /la"
Haih... i'm seriously SS.

I found out
You know, all those checks and stripes can make you see stars ********
I can't imagine what it's like for fashion designers in charge of male attire. Everyday it's like "okay, so how far apart would i like the stripes to be today?"
Or "how big should those boxes be? Why don't we alternate different coloured stripes between different shades of blue for the whole line this summmer? or why not add stripes to those boxes for a funky look? (oh the horrrorr)"
So anyway, i'm sorry guys, but guys clothes belong to the land of dullsville. (or stripesville or checksville, or just plaincoloursville)
Today, something came back to me. My bro was getting himself this watch, which i was pretty sure from the start, that it had sat there in the shop for many years. Many years. yea.
I didn't really want him to get that watch. So OLD!! When suddenly, something hit me. A title ran tru my head, it said "Saya Sebuah Jam Tangan".
So then i actually felt a certain compassion for the sad watch and i stopped trying to discourage him.
BTW, the watch came with a disc (the square ones) which used Windows 95
...
"Selepas 10 lebih tahun berada dalam kotak gelas kedai itu, akhirnya!!! Aku berasa amat gembira, hatiku (or should that be jantung ar?) berdebar-debar"
The sadder thing was :
"Mereka mendapati bahawa hatiku (walaupun sudah berdebar2) terlalu lemah dan ingin menggantikan batteri aku. Operasi, dengan malangnya, tidak berjaya and adik kembar aku pun terpilih untuk dibebaskan"
and sooo
"Aku pulang ke kotak gelas itu dan terus menunggu"
Hahaha... =)
I lack compassion actually.

Movies
This is Orlando Bloom (in case you didn't already know)... He's pretty good looking (or does that just stop at "pretty"?)...
He looks good rugged, (ie. far right) but i think i liked him best as the elf in LOTR (far left)...
Used to love the elves in LOTR... (so mystical, don't you think? *swoons a bit*)
Anyway, there's this little scene in pirates 3 slightly AFTER the credits start ...(beats me why the movie ppl like to do that nowadays) and you know what i figured?
The hypothesis : Cathay cinemas cut off a bit of the credits b4 the scene so that the audience won't miss it.
Reason being : my mom & youngest bro went to watch at cineleisure (Cathay la) and according to them, that scene appeared even b4 most ppl had the chance to get up and leave.
whereas, my other bro, went to GSC and missed the scene completely, while my dear and I (also GSC) were bumming around for a bit b4 the scene came out.
Hence...the hypothesis.
I think i need to find more important things to do with my life.

My knee =
No, I’m not happy that I bruise easily. But, I simply mUSt show you my lastest addition to my history of bruises. Of course, this one ranks only 2nd in the chromatic scale but is definitely tops in terms of pain.
The one I got on my hip a few weeks back (rank no 1) was exquisitely coloured, with a wide range of hues. The colours also happen to follow the pattern of the gathers of my pants. It was actually quite dynamic. But I digress. Back to the bruise in question.
To cut a potentially long story short: I tripped over a ball.
Bravo to me…thank you.
Lo and behold, my very sexy right knee:
Such was the state of my knee on that very night. Last tuesday, to be precise. Nothing much to look at, but i'll say, it hurt. A lot.

And here is the vain knee again, two days after that not-so-very dramatic fall. As one can see, the blood is starting to clot up at the periphery of the injury.

Finally, this was taken yesterday. Thursday, about after more than a week.
As you can see, it has now progressed to look like those wet stains you see in your ceiling which had sprung a leak somewhere up there. It also has this nice lumpy bumpy feel to it, which is probably due to the aggregation of clots in the area of the tendon.

You know, I just realised how my leg resembles that of an elephant’s.

hmmm?
dreamingggg... of the day when i can play like in that vid up there.
Maybe if i were to make wierd facial expressions like that dude in the vid, i could get closer to getting it?
Watching him makes me feel so.... bad at what i do. but whatever, this song is really really really really nice to play. can't stop playing it. wah, very nice.

This is one of my dear lecturers. She's so funny! I just love her...she says the funniest things...sometimes unintentionally. And the examples she gives can be so...random and kinda odd.
i mean...sometimes we, you know, drink a lot of water...for friendship. Yeap, she crackes me up.

Tadaa!!! a diseased kidney... it's got this mega sized tumour sitting on top of it. I wonder how it managed to get so huge. So ppl, please do not ignore pain and blood found in places where there shouldn't be.

The magic roundabout. So cute right? Tho the little roundabouts around the bigger one is totally redundant i'm sure.

Looks kinda messy to me...
Gah! i should start studying. Procrastination...my field of expertise.

One of those days...
You know how sometimes we just live in our own little worlds…with the same people, the same issues of our lives RErunning and REcirculating in our minds? And then some people will come up with potentially annoying songs like “it’s a small world after all”, which coincidentially keeps REplaying itself annoyingly in every Disneyland themepark accompanied by freakishly happy-looking mechanical dolls (moving coordinatedly and REpetitively too).
If you want proof of this, read anyone’s blog and tell me that they don’t talk about the same things or people usually.
Occasionally, we snap out of it. We start thinking about the big world and how the other half of the world lives and that they don’t at all resemble those dolls supposedly representing their respective countries in the Small World after all rides.
And then. We snap back into it. And we’re right back where we started.
So I guess, it IS a small world after all.
My Small World ride is a safe place. Free of malice and has wall-to-wall cushioning and has no deep ends. So even if the boat were to tip over…I’ll be in a happy wading pool. It’s pink in colour and everything will be rather pastel. There’ll be maintenance people around so I won’t have to worry about anything and they’ll refresh the paint every now and then. There won’t be those mechanical dolls but there’ll be people. The people I see everyday. All the good people. This place…was built for me by my parents. My birthday present when I was born.
I have never left it. I have only peeked out the windows once in a blue moon.
Everyone’s Small World ride is kinda different. I like mine. Come on, it’s pink wei!
