I went to rock-climb wit Karyn today... Went there at 12, left at 4.40pm... sounds long rite? But we had an hour off for lunch la...

Here's a shot of me in 'action' from behind. Now i know what i look like from the back.

and this is my position a minute later... if you notice...it took me a whole minute to get to the next rock. I'm telling you...its my height (lack of it duh)

Oh ya, i'm using the auto-belaying device cos Karyn doesn't know how to belay (her 1st time u see), so i can belay for her but not vice versa.

The auto belay's pretty cool...and very expensive (30 000 if i remembered correctly...tht's alot)

This is Karyn and the head of her belayer during her last wall.

THe whole thing is expensive...i spent 29.50 ringgit today at the gym, 16 entrance (students), 7 for shoes, 5 for harness, and 1.50 for the belay set that we shared.

Summit was much cheaper, 6 for entrance (whopping 10 dollar diff), 5 for shoes and i can't remember the rest. And the rules there were MUCH more lenient, like a 1st timer can belay after taking a 10 ringgit beginners course.

But hte new walls are rougher which means its easier to hold but gives you scraped knees (or is that only me?)

Anyway, we discovered today that in rock-climbing,its the more the merrier. so the next time we go. Please join us. Then we can feel like crap together the next day. Ciao
