Yesterday we had some more of those student presentations and as usual, the students were allowed to ask questions after that...

such is the level of english here: (exerpt from slide)

" Other people, are simply crushingly nearsighted and have had no major eye events so far -- knock on wood. "

The question? "what do u mean by knock on wood?"

The answer? "maybe...so nearsighted that u knock urself on sum wood" (forgot exact words but sumthing to that extent)

then ensued a discussion among the group members trying to figure out why on earth would this patient knock on wood. They obviously copied & pasted from sum website...tsk tsk

It was actually quite funny... =)

even out lecturer was surprised at our level of english

then she also pointed out many pronunciation errors... haihh...
