OBE

OBE was okay i guess...Definitely not the most fun camp ever but its alrite.

made some new friends

built some campfires, slept in jungle

basically, it was a lot like NS, cept that here, there were certain expectation of us (being privileged students of the Faculty of Medicine n Health Sciences of UPM)

This here is our living quaters.

Safety ranking :4 out of 10

Potential horror movie location : 10 out of 10

Toilet factor : 5 out of 10 (its pretty old n gross in there)

Bed : 6 out of 10 (sinks a LOT in the middle, but that's good, no need pillow at all, like hammock)

Safety scored pretty lowly, cos 1stly, the doors don't shut, room door, toilet door, watever door la.
2nd, from certain spots in the toilet n room, u can see the main road, and this pondok where the soldiers loiter around. There were soldiers hanging around in groups alot, and its pretty scary if u have to walk past them alone.
3rd, the some of the guys' quaters were ransacked by some unknown ppl. Clothes all over the place, money missing, handphones stolen, locks broken into...u get the idea. Worse thing is that, i don'tknow if anything was done about it at all.


we were devided into companies (alpha,bravo,charlie n delta) and then divided summore into platoons. i was in platoon 4 of alpha company.

This is my platoon here. really great bunch of ppl la.







Alpha companies were themes 'mammals' there were reptiles, birds n stuff. So we were the GORILLAS!! woo hoo!! pity u can't see the cuteness of our gorilla in the flag.




"survival" - where we stay overnite in the jungle. Slept only wat... adding all the 5 mins here n there, 2 hours max.

2 days managed to stretch out into one LOOONG day.

they decided to let us cook. for breakfast, some ubi kayu. lunch, 1.5 chickens for 22 ppl and bits of porridge.
i think i would've been better of not eating, cos all it did was activate my GIT.
had gastric that day...ugh

THe water activities were fun tho. Tiring, but fun. and this was where went a few shades darker.


Only un-fun part was when they scolded n punished us for the same thing everyday.

Ear-squats, star jumps, pumping...

why?
not respecting the facillitators, OC, CO whoeverla... not greeting them
Basically, just for being our horrible, useless, rude, dumb selves. (no they din exactly call us that, but u get that feeling)

Then they like scolding.lecturing us for ages...the last day, they went on n on till 3 am. haihh...

anyhoo, survived.
