On Tuesday...or could it have been Monday?...anyway, then...the death toll was 10,000 ppl. As it was, i was shocked at the number... i mean..TEN THOUSAND?
I dont' even have that much money... imagine lives n people.
Wednesday afternoon.... 60,000.
With reports of thousands of decomposting bodies littering the (now non-existant) landscape.
Thursday afternoon... the newspaper reported 82,000 plus.
When i wasn't looking, the numbers snuck up to a staggering 100,000 plus ppl.
all in a matter of hours...
Last time i checked, it was 116,000... tho i guess that too has already gone up.
In comparison, Malaysia has had it easy. Sumatera obviously shielded the full brunt of it ... We have 66 deaths... compared to Africa,which is miles further away, actually suffered 100 deaths. Thank God for Malaysia.
Thailands going to suffer a lot more... with so much reliance on its tourism industry, esp its westcoast beaches, Thailand's economy is going to take some time to recover.
There was this guy...in Sri Lanka, who lost all 38 (35?) members of his family. Its cruel that he should have survived alone...left with a photo album of those who perished. His wife was pregnant.
Well, its the 31st of December already... may we all have a blessed New Year.

Yes, it's the 31st! What does that remind you of??
On the tsunami thing. Was rather detached from it until i saw a harrowing picture of a man holding his deads child and crying.
With the new year, lets hope for a new, if not fresh start.

Jon... I'm sure all affected countries will get aid. But M'sia would do better to help ourselves first b4 other countries...might seem cocky if we did.
School in 2 days now...better start practising to sleep early.
